This work is based upon the persona of a man who experienced being a part of the Syrian Refugee crisis. This man, after crossing the ocean from Bodhom, Turkey to Greece, loses his two young sons and wife to the sea. This man is left with the memory of their existence and his devastating experience that damage the very essence of his soul. A vital part in creating this work was using my non dominant left hand. I use pallet knives, real metal knives, and brushes to configure the paintings to its most basic form of expression, movement, and emotion.
